Here at Grit Coaching we use TrainingPeaks to create your custom training program. TrainingPeaks is an industry leader in cycling coaching and offers an easy to use mobile and desktop app, so you can check your training whenever and wherever!
100% Bespoke programming
Unlike many coaching businesses, we don’t believe in a cookie-cutter, one-size-fits-all programs and sessions, all programs are 100% tailored to your availability, training experience, and goals. We have athletes that spend 50% of the time training in the shed with only 7 hours to train a week, and athletes who are training for big goals and clocking 20 hours a week. We use what time you have available to craft you into the best bike racer you can be with the time you have.
Power-based testing
We use profile testing to uncover what sort of rider you are, and how we need to optimise your training time to transform you into the rider you need to be to smash your race goals! Profile testing is hard: very hard, but by intermittently testing specific power durations we can accurately track changes in energy systems over time and assess how you’re responding to training.
Number crunching and analysis with industry-leading software WKO5
At Grit, we don’t just set the training but we use world-class software in order to analyse your sessions and training load. WKO5 gives us a tonne of metrics and uber-nerd information on you–the athlete–so we can optimise your training, and tailor to your physiology to get the best results.
Experienced coaching staff
At Grit, we have a well developed understanding of the everyday athlete; from the time crunched recreational rider to the seasoned professional. Our coaches have raced at the highest level and coached athletes from grassroots to world level. We understand the need to balance life and commitments with athletic pursuits, and have the scientific nous from study and experience in the sport science field to get you to where you want to go in your athletic career.
Big chat energy
The program is the big picture and bulk of what makes you a better athlete, the chat is the small details and 1%. We use Zoom and phone calls to check in with the athlete and discuss previous training, upcoming training, race plans and anything and everything else. This epitomises the spirit of having a coach: having someone in your corner for support and discussion.
